      PROBLEM

 a. Child A is very  quiet, she don't want to talk to her classmates and she seldom participates in the class discussion. She always want to seat at the back and isolate herself to other children. When her teacher asked her what's wrong, she just simply move her head as a sign of  "no" or "nothing".

 b. Child B is very naughty and troublesome. He always bullied her classmates and always starts a fight. That's why his classmates didn't like him. When her teacher ask him what his problem, he just simply say "nothing" and then cry.

 c. Child C has a problem in coping with the lesson as if he never understand the explanation of the teacher. He always failed to get a high score during quizzes and exams and shows boredomness during the discussion. Her teacher is really bothered about him.

     APPROACH/THERAPY

 a. Adlerian Therapy
 b. Gestalt Therapy
 c. Behavior Therapy

                                                                      RESPONSE

 a. In problem a, as a counselor or a teacher, it is really a problem to have a student who seldom talk and not participate in the discussion. Maybe she has a problem afraid of being neglected by others, being isolated all the time and have lack of self esteem. That's why I chose the Adlerian therapy to manage such behavior. The therapy is just suited to this problem because it aims to encourage individual in a more positive way to change the lifestyle, perception and goals of the client.

 b. In a typical or regular classroom setting, there are always children who is really naughty, stubborn and troublesome. And this kind of situation is serious to be neglected by the teacher. Those children who are fun of bullying and hurting other children have a serious behavior problem. I chose the Gestalt therapy in order for the children realize his wrong actions and misbehaviors. Because the goal of the Gestalt therapy is to help individuals assume responsibility for themselves, rather than relying on others to make decisions for them.

 c. The problem of child c is a serious problem. For the teacher, it's really a burden to have a student like that. You don't know why he is like that. That's why I chose the Behavior therapy to extinguish the child maladaptive behavior and to introduce or strengthen adaptive behavior that can serve as a replacement and enable him to live a productive life. You have to identify first the reason behind that and gather information about the child's past experiences and also his environment.

                                                            APPLICATION STRATEGY

a.Because the person concerned here is a child, the best way to treat this kind of behavior is to know first the
background of the child, what are the possible reasons why she is like that, even her dreams and the people around her. The counselor should listen to the child, for what she is going to say and the counselor should maintain an accepting, caring and cooperative relationship with the child. After that, it's time for the counselor to give some advice or encouragement to boost the child's confidence. The counselor should let the child mingle with other children or other people. Encourage the child to participate in a group activity or discussion. And for the teacher, he/she should make that child a leader in a group so that she expose to the crowd.

 b. In this kind of situation, he child really need a counseling advice. But instead of counseling, the therapist will serve as a mirror to the client, he/she will going to ask the child regarding to his behavior, the therapist will make the child realize his mistakes or it's like assuming responsibility and a confrontation as well. The child himself will treat or analyze his own mistakes by giving scenarios of the therapist that is related to his behavior and he is the one being bullied. With this kind of approach, he will realize what is the feeling of being bullied and hurt by others. And will never do that again.

 c. In this situation, the counselor will serve as a good listener, a counselor and a model as well. He will going to define first what the problem is and the background of the child, the people involve and the kind of environment he belongs. Because the child has a problem in coping with the lesson and frequently shows boredomness during the discussion, he need to have some motivational advice and encouragement as well. The therapist will serve as a model to the child on how he will become in he future if he study hard. The therapist will be listener for him to know what are the likes and dislikes of the child, his opinions, principles and beliefs. And for the teacher, he/she should provide different kinds of activities to the different kinds of students for them to have interest to study.

EXPECT THE CHILD TO LEARN FROM THAT TECHNIQUE

 a. After that therapeutic treatment, the child expect to learn on how to get a confidence or gaining self esteem. She is expected to be more approachable, sociable and confident to mingle with other children.

 b. In this case, the child is expected to be more sensitive and behave well in the class. After realizing his mistakes, he should never do that again, instead, he should be friendly and can accept failures and criticism.

 c. In this situation, the child is expected to be persevere in studying and will shoe interest during class discussion. He will be more motivated to learn and will participate in the class lectures.
